Today Motorola announced the introduction of the Droid 2, the successor to the popular Android-enabled Droid smartphone. The Droid 2 will go on sale online on August 11 and arrive in stores on August 12 for a price of $199.99 with two-year contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate, with a special R2-D2 edition arriving in September. Both versions will be available exclusively on Verzion.
According to recent reports, Motorola is expected to roll out the Razr 40 Ultra at some point today. However, that isn’t halting leakers from providing several last-minute leaks.
