The UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has cleared Google of ‘snooping’ after reviewing the data Google collected from unprotected networks.
In May earlier this year, Google apologised for mistakenly collecting people’s data, such as parts of emails, text or photographs, via its Street View cars’ antennae, as it logged Wi-Fi hotspots to improve its location-based services, such as Google Maps.
