PC World: Twitter will roll out a new automatic link shortening service to users later this summer.
"If you want to share a link through Twitter, there currently isn't a way to automatically shorten it and we want to fix this," the website said in a blog.
To combat this, the micro-blogging service revealed it plans to extend the link service currently available in Direct Messages to Tweets.
Airlines, Air France, KLM, and Ryanair no longer offer customer service support using Twitter's direct message functionality.
