BSkyB has bought Virgin Media Television, which owns seven tv channels including Bravo and Living for £160m.
Virgin described that the sale of VMtv would allow them to focus on providing its users with "super" fast broadband and cable TV services.
BSkyB chief executive Jeremy Darroch described the acquisition as "an attractive investment opportunity" that offered strategic and financial benefits.
