Tom's Guide: "In a recent article, Gizmodo Editor-at-Large Joel Johnson described a European trip where instead of bringing along his laptop he brought an iPad. “The iPad makes a fantastic travel computer,” he wrote. “So much so that I'm going to be selling my laptop.”
I recently took a family Hawaiian vacation for four days, but since I had already reviewed the iPad, I decided to bring my laptop along. As mentioned in our review of the iPad, it does not replace a laptop, and knowing I’d have work to do while in Hawaii, I couldn’t take the risk of being without a workable machine.
I’m so very glad I brought my laptop, because Gizmodo is wrong."
