The BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider Running The New Webkit Browser

The Cellular Guru: "Today, our tipster decided to be like Santa and pass along a very exciting set of pics for us. The Bold 9800 Slider seems to be the one upcoming BlackBerry device with some good looks, and every day the idea of a touchscreen BB with a full QWERTY keyboard is making more and more sense. We’ve seen similar success with the Motorola Droid, MyTouch 3G, etc., so why can’t RIM get into the game?

This is the same keyboard you know and love from the BlackBerry 9700, mixed with the touchscreen of the Storm series. We don’t yet know if it will be SurePress enabled, but it doesn’t seem likely as most of the text input will be done on the hardware keyboard.

We also see the new WebKit browser with its multiple tabs open and, as we saw previously, its 100% Acidtest3 score. This will ensure that the browser is not only fast, but standards-compliant. Pages will render on the browser as they are meant to on the internet at large."
