Google’s Android is the next thing to watch

"Devices like Apple’s iPhone and the various versions of Blackberry smart phones are revolutionizing computing. Phones and phone-like devices are increasingly blurring the lines between notebook computers, net-books and phones. The mobile computing revolution is on. We are getting to a situation where there’s a clear distinction between hardware makers and software designers.

The best example is computers where we have hardware manufacturers such as HP, Dell, Sony, Lenovo, Acer etc and the software companies including Microsoft with Windows that runs on the hardware. Phones and mobile devices are getting to follow a similar trend with several hardware makers such as HTC, Samsung, Nokia, LG having software platforms such as Symbian, Windows Mobile, Android, Apple’s iPhone etc."
