Comcast app turns iPad into web-based TV remote

Comcast is showing off a new application at The Cable Show 2010 -- a trade show hosted by the National Cable and Telecommunications Association -- that turns the Apple iPad into a web-based TV remote.

The Xfinity Remote, which Comcast details on their official blog, allows users to search for television shows, movies and video on demand, change channels on a cable box and program DVR recordings remotely.

Dish has had this for years now.
So is there gonna be a i-Phone version?

Next thing you know there gonna add more HD content to there cable service...
