In order to compete with the likes of Google Chrome, Firefox needs to step its game up. One of the ways it can do this is by making it a whole lot faster.
They made themselves practically irrelevant when they went the Quantum route. If I want a browser that behaves like Chrome, I'll just use Chrome. Now Mozilla have to compete head-to-head against it, instead of still having the worthwhile differentiated product that FF was before 57. Good luck with that.
