News to me, and that's scary. I've lived the last several years with the blissfully ignorant assumption that Amazon is mostly a direct seller, and that I can trust whatever I get from it to be legitimate. What I read here today ends that happy delusion. Even when you think you're buying from Amazon and not some flaky 3rd-party seller, you can't be sure. Even the idea that any goods handled by Amazon aren't properly vetted is news to me. Damn.
