Netgear's Arlo Q cam puts free cloud storage center stage

Netgear added the Arlo security camera to its product roster in November of 2014. Arlo offers some fairly standard features -- 720p live streaming, night vision, motion-related alerts -- mixed in with some more unique offerings -- the camera runs on battery power, is rated for outdoor (as well as indoor) use and comes with 7 days of free event-related cloud storage.

The brand is adding a new camera to the Arlo lineup today with Arlo Q, an indoor-only DIY power-adapter-reliant security camera designed to go head-to-head with models like Nest Cam.
