Japan was advance during the 70s and 80s. They sorta got stuck in the mid 90s. I was there not too long ago and not many places accept plastic. Wifi spots are far in between too. Nice place though.

The US and France aren't too far behind in terms of being cashless. Sweden is smaller and is more developed. To be completely cashless one needs a bank account and internet. A lot of people still don't have that combo.

In the US, Chase Bank (the biggest bank) doesn't accept cash deposits unless you are on the account. So I do see eventually going that route.

Chase doesn't accept cash deposits but you can still withdraw so it's far from being cashless. And it's total crap they do that. Not being able to deposit cash into a friend or family members account that needs help is stupid. you have to buy money orders to deposit. Cashless would be great for safety on the streets and stores. No worries of being robbed unless they have a device to force you to transfer funds. And Hackers would be a big concern.

That wont fly so well over here and im personally against the idea as I dont keep all of my money In one place as that would be stupid.

you do realize you can access more than one bank digitally right?

DarkBlood3110d ago

i know but im referring to the subject at hand i wouldn't bet all my money to be handled by the bank cuz if the bank goes under then well bye bye all those hard earn dollars for me according to the way it works here anyways
