The smartphone market has done more than its fair share of eradicating the need for a handheld camera these days. As phones get more powerful, increasing megapixel’s and improving that all important lens quality to maximise light retention, the handheld is near obsolete. Only those with more than a passing interest in photography would really need a DSLR or better.
Starting in April, HTC will start shipping a headset-only option for the Vive Cosmos Elite, along with a free copy of Half-Life: Alyx, for $549.
