It seems as if everyone with a screwdriver is working on their own version of the self-driving car, or a passenger vehicle that uses computers instead of people navigate. Google’s been at it for years, of course, and now there’s speculation that Apple’s rumored cars will also eventually feature a lack of drivers. And then there’s Uber, the networked car company that just last week endured its own scuttlebutt regarding plans for fully automated cars.
