Sony has unveiled the successor to its Xperia Z2 smartphone, the Sony Xperia Z3. We reveal all there is to know about the Sony Z3, including UK release date, price and specs
Sony is losing more than a Billion dollars this year, and one of the culprits behind that is, Sony phones are not selling because of better competitor brands. But spec wise, due to the fact sony is losing in the mobile market, they have to give it all with Z3. Z3 is superior in it's specs or at least very High-end. When you're buying iPhone.. you're just buying the Apple brand not the specs.
They just barely got the phone brand under their belt. Before it was Ericson that ran the mobile company. So it isn't a massive reason. They are not losing billions, they are just not making as much as they expected. They cut several branches and fully purchased a couple (including the phone division) which made them project a profit margin. That margin is not being met, thus they have to report "losses."
Where on earth did you regurgitate that from? Sony Z devices are one the most profitable things they have, plenty of people buy them. What's not profitable are low end and mid-range devices like T,E,C as they are being eroded by cheaper and more value adding brands like Lenovo or Xiaomi in the Asian region.
I have the Xperia Z and I have to say, it's terrible... The keyboard can be very slow with the latest OS update, my wifi just cuts off regardless of what I do, the back is completely shattered so I've got to repair it. I've had it for about 2 months now. My previous phone, Samsung Galaxy S, I had it for 3 years and started slowing down after 2 years I think of use. Won't be getting a Sony phone again.
