You may return to using Internet Explorer. Microsoft has fixed the serious security flaw that made it possible for a hacker to take over your computer (if you clicked on a bad link, which these days is easy to do). The flaw is even fixed for Windows XP. But make sure you have automatic updates enabled on Windows to get the patch.
