Best Buy Employee Confirms Inital Xbox One Launch Editions Not Sold Out

GamerFitNation - Recently, while GamerFitNation was at a Best Buy event for Madden 25, it was confirmed that the initial Xbox One Day One launch editions from the launch day event at the Best Buy theater in Union Square New York were not sold out. On a call with a Best Buy employee, it was confirmed that they are not sold out, but have a low quantity of the system available.

Yes, I might have to pick one up

TruthInsider 3796d ago

Lol, MS pretending they have sold out.

Day 1 editions too!

Can't even shift them, not surprised, even the casuals know what a disaster the Xbone is.

Troll! 2 reasons why they are still available:

1. Products are being shifted from different stores
2. If consoles aren't picked up from your preorder you lose it. So those are be released to the public.

How is he trolling? There is proof the store has stock yet Microsoft claims their console is sold out. He is stating a fact that Microsoft have been caught out lying to try and boot the reputation for their struggling console. If anyone here is trolling it's you.

Sup Black. I almost went to that event, but something came up.

I just don't get the rush... for the Xbox One or the PS4... the games are not that much of a leap forward sadly. Until some real gems start taking advantage of the updated hardware properly - my wallet remains exclusive to Steam.

Baka-akaB3795d ago

well some people deem the leap good enough ... and genuinely care about the games available .

Some others might already have specific title in mind , but dont feel like making a console expense + tons of games , on the console or other platform .

In my case it's a bit of both . i'll be happy with what's there already , and need to plan the purchase of several ps3 and vita games . I certainly couldnt picture myself picking those + the ps4 games and a ps4 . Not cost efficient

To each their own... but, I agree with you. If this was a leap similar to the Xbox to the Xbox 360? I'd have a PS4 or XB1 right now.

To put it bluntly, the leap isn't even close to what it was during the previous gen.

It comes down to math, the new consoles just aren't as powerful as they should be. Even if that meant a launch price of $600 - $700. To not be capable of running native 1080p for every game smoothly is simply inexcusable.

4K TVs are already becoming affordable. And our next gen systems can't even run at the resolution of previous gen displays? The console space has officially devolved unless they start unlocking some serious horsepower to hit a minimum of 1080p.

Likewise, I'll buy almost everything off Steam (during discounts) & get ONLY the exclusives from Origin (again, during discounts) and USED-discs for PS4/XB1/PS3/X360.

Of course, I'm eagerly awaiting an upgrade to a Steam Box with Nvidia Maxwell next year. Even the GTX 780 Ti can't max out some games.

Soldierone3796d ago

Microsoft must have forgot to send employees there to buy them all. ;)

Deadpoolio3796d ago

For some reason I wouldn't find that at all shocking, it completely seems like something they would do since they want to desperately to pretend they are even or further than Sony....Seems like the only thing they have gotten further ahead on is the defective rate

buynit3795d ago

For some reason im not shocked at all that you think that.. Seems like you wish and make up a lot of bs quite often against ms and come off very desperate with your fabricated lies..
