Apples "Most forward thinking phone yet". Forward thinking huh?
-Looks exactly like the old one.
-Only new feature is a fingerprint scanner
-Still lacks NFC, IR Blaster, full HD screen, optical image stabilization, and even quad core.
-Still charging $399 for 64gb. (you can buy a S4 for $99 and add a 64gb SD card for $40.)

Yeah "forward thinking". Yet it will still sell. iSheep are hilarious.

the battery is still ahead of the S4 and the new 64bit architecture will pwn the galaxy on the GFX dept

I must admit tho, big turn off on the 8MP camera

blackmanone3880d ago

How does 64bit change the graphics any? I mean, it's a big improvement, but let's not get carried away. My computer didn't change graphically when it went to 64 bit. Neither did yours. So where do you get that from?

evil_element3878d ago

64bit architecture is vastly different to 32bit.

64bit effects:

Execution of operations.
Speed and performance of device.
Knock on effect on battery length.
Access to memory.

It's not just about specs. I want a nice looking phone with good build quality that functions well(not to say that there aren't alternatives). That said, the main reason I will be upgrading from my original iphone 4(it served me well) to 5S is the apps.

My only apple product is the phone. Am I a sheep? :3

Speed-Racer3880d ago

Honestly, no. Going from the 4 to the 5S is a reasonable gap. If you like Apple, that's cool. IMO if your phone works well enough, keep it. There is no need to swap your phone one year later just for a minor upgrade.

IRON883 3880d ago

Well I'm gonna switch going from a note and gonna get the iPhone 5S

LOL_WUT3880d ago

Awesome dude! Hope you enjoy it

LOL_WUT3880d ago

Apple is going to sell a lot of these can't wait ;)

My_Outer_Heaven3880d ago (Edited 3880d ago )

I prefer to go with the most popular product as long as it doesn't break the bank or hurt the very reason for buying it. Apple are being idiots yet again with the price of a phone. I can't believe we live in a world where you pay more for a phone that has less technology inside than a games console or PC. It just feels backwards and mind boggling especially when you consider a gaming console or computer is a more worthwhile investment that will last many years compared to short life spans of phones. Phones get outdated right away, in fact there are already better phones than the iPhone 5S. I can't believe how much an iPhone costs in the UK compared to US. I will stick with my iPhone 4.

Apple is just greedy. And they know they have loyal followers who will buy it. Throw the apple logo onto a rotary phone, and the fanboys will praise it for it's innovation.

I’m still rocking an iPhone 5 SE, and honestly, I don’t even care

KnowTechie writes:

"Trust me, I know what you’re thinking. I’ve heard it all before. I’ve endured the side-eyed glances, the exasperated gasps, and the endless mockery every time I’ve pulled out my SE since the day I bought it (I can’t remember exactly when, but I vaguely recall The Harlem Shake being popular). As it turns out, apparently I’m the asshole for not wanting to wait outside of an Apple store for three days to spend two weeks’ pay on a phone with slightly better pixel quality and, I dunno, personalized emojis or some other useless crap?"
