TechCrunch - Apple’s supposed next-generation iPad case components are on display in a new high-definition video from Unbox Therapy, showing a design that is clearly inspired by the iPad mini. This agrees with what we’ve heard and seen from previous leaks, but until now it’s been hard to get a solid grasp on just how dramatic the difference is between the current iPad and the one that’s said to be arriving in October or thereabouts to replace it.
whatswithjeff.com: "The Touch ID Sensor is probably one of the most intriguing and sought after feature that is present on the iPhone 5s. Aside from the unique feature that made the iPhone 5s a huge success, it seems that the color Gold/Champagne also added to its popularity, not to mention it was the first color to get completely sold out. So what do you think would Apple do next in their future lineup? Well implement those success indicators of course. Just recently a complete Gold iPad Mini 2 was leaked featuring Touch ID Sensor."
Android Waypoint: 2013 has brought some pretty sweet devices to market across the board. Up to now, appears those releases were just a warm up to next month, September. Based on rumours and confirmed releases, the mobile battle is surely intensifying as manufacturers battle for our wallets.
HotHardware: Apple surprised a lot of people when it unexpectedly launched a fourth generation iPad model at a press event largely focused on the iPad mini (and a few other product refreshes). However, the incremental upgrades -- faster processor, higher quality FaceTime camera, new Lightning connector -- add up to what could be considered an iPad 3S instead of an iPad 4 (Apple no longer users a numbering scheme to identify iPad models), so it's with a bit of a excitement that we look forward to a fifth generation iPad that will hopefully bring more to the tablet than its immediate predecessor.
