Maximum PC: Nintendo hasn't sold as many Wii U consoles as it hoped it would, and with both Microsoft (Xbox One) and Sony (PlayStation 4) planning to launch next generation gaming systems this holiday shopping season, a price cut seemed inevitable. And so it goes, with Nintendo today announcing a $50 price drop for the Wii U Deluxe, bringing the cost of ownership down to $300, effective September 20, 2013.
Nintendo launched the new 2DS XL a few days ago, but today, company officials revealed that Nintendo 2DS will hit the shelves in the US next month. The bundle will have a red-and-white handheld as well as a digital copy of the New Super Mario Bros 2.

Urrg The Wii U is probably the only Nintendo console I have hesitated to get, I waiting for winning titles, the game pad pro makes me feel more inclined to purchase it, the tablet thing is a turn off.
