AllThingsD: Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft are part of a broad alliance of technology companies and civil liberties groups that will tomorrow demand dramatically increased transparency around U.S. government surveillance efforts.
Having Microsoft in this list makes me doubt the other companies as well. We all know what Microsoft did, and now they're acting like "good guys".
Only because the proverbial cat is out of the bag, will they change their tune. Could be a circus show for all we know. I wish all of these companies were transparent, and not because they're under the public microscope, after Snowden outed them as NSA bitches.
All I can say is: exactly.
I believe Google is the only company that cares about this. The rest do it just for the publicity.
