BGR: "Does the world, the consumer, the living room, need a $400-$500 box at the center of it? A $400-$500 box that is going to be obsolete within a couple of years when we all have desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones all over the place? I think not. All we need is a gateway between our smart devices and our televisions, and here is how I think Apple is going to pull this off..."
Vision Pro is here and it’s a surprisingly capable device. Apple has also loaded the headset with a ton of options and features that aren’t obvious at first glance.
Ringing the changes: All the news, rumors, and tips you missed last week.

Until smartphones can handle games like Call of Duty and Battlefield, I don't think game consoles will be obsolete.
Gamers are looking for high quality graphics. Playing on a smartphone is taking a HUGE step back.
That won't happen because they going to have to deal with Google TV. Don't under estimate Android.
Like I said before. Just because you take the crappy mobile market and stream it to the TV means nothing. Gamers want real games. Just because you dress it up and pretend its competing doesn't mean it is.
They could stream mobile games to theater screens for all I care. That still isn't MGS, Uncharted, Call of duty, or any other games I spend hours on. Its still Angry Birds, Wannabe COD, wannbe This, Wannabe that, and ill still only play it when i'm bored and away from my consoles.
With what apps?
Apple hasn't had real competition yet. Once they go into the gaming scene they will antagonize half their customer base. i would never pick apple over Sony or even Microsoft for instance. I think Apple would be wise to stay away from gaming.
