Evidence suggests Apple's next phone will be the iPhone 6

Stuff - Stuff has received a spy shot of a UK mobile operator's till system which lists '4G iPhone 6' on a product list.

The photo was snapped at a UK operator store and strongly suggests that Apple will be skipping the 5S moniker and jumping straight to the iPhone 6, meaning we could be in for some drastic changes from the Apple camp.

I just hope, it's not only the name that's taking a longer jump than usual.

I can picture it now....
It will have a 4.5+ inch screen and all of sudden it is accepted from the Apple front that the screen size of this stature is needed.

The day full customization comes in, the apple front will also say now its better and needed.

This is quite rich . For at least 2-3 years in row the android rabid fanbase have been attacking apple over releasing the same phones with only improved specs and their fans for being sheeps .

When Samsung and others do it , they mostly praise and follow the herd .

Fanboys are a plague for both sides . People need to admit that some buy one or another based on their own need and perceptions of strength .

*reads title*

No shit. What, did we expect them to jump to 7?

ddurand13996d ago

if you paid attention usually there are incremental updates

3 to 3GS
4 to 4S
5 to 5S (has been assumed, this contradicts their past)

JOLLY13996d ago

Don't you mean
iphone
iphone 3g
iphone 3gs
iphone 4
iphone 4s
iphone 5
......so no pattern at all.

ddurand13995d ago

that reads to me that theyve followed a pattern.

Sometimes Apple loses sight of what they think consumers want versus what we really want.

SSmoke2311d ago

I was on the fence about the Iphone8 or the new Samsung but that new Galaxy is looking damn good right now... peace apple!

MaxedOutGamer2311d ago

This is more Apple BS. When Apple launches a phone, they try to get as much sales as possible, even at the expense of their own customer base. A new iphone is released and suddenly your phone starts working like crap, obviously it makes the new iphone more appealing. They've been doing this since the original iphone. Funny how this isn't a problem for any other phone manufacturer.

supermonkeyfox2310d ago

I think it's more that continually evolving software updates bloat and eventually render the device sluggish. New code is written to take advantage of new hardware, at the expense of owners of the older models.

KingPin2310d ago

so then why even bother updating the older hardware if thats the case. i mean, its not like the older OS is not safe or unstable so why the need to update it. everything works just fine as is. ever heard if it aint broke.....

Corporation are for themself. Time for decentralization!
