Internet Explorer is Killing Chrome in Browser Wars, But Also Losing - Huh?

Maximum PC: Depending on which data collection service you trust the most, Microsoft's Internet Explorer is either wiping the floor with Google's Chrome browser, or getting spanked by the relative newcomer. Starting with the former, NetMarketShare has IE way out in the lead with a 55.81 percent share of the desktop browser market, virtually unchanged from last month and up a little more than a percentage point from a year ago.

I've been using ie for quite a while now ever since ms upped the ante with ie 9 and now with ie 10. Honestly, I was pretty surprised by how good it runs but I'm pretty happy with it.

ie or firefox, i'm fine with either.

I still use Firefox. It eats up resources like mad, but its the most convenient to me.

iNFAMOUZ14263d ago

chrome is the most convenient

andron4263d ago

Yeah, me too. I'm used to Firefox and it runs fine on my linux laptop. Chrome s good, but I won't switch if what I'm using works fine for me...

Baka-akaB4262d ago

until chrome learns to properly handle a long list of tabs without apps , firefox is just more convenient .

Chrome is otherwise better but still misisng many good apps

For those complaining about Firefox being heavy, I strongly suggest checking out Palemoon or Waterfox. They are optimized versions of Firefox with the optional x64 equivalent. They both come with regular updates as well. I couldn't go back to Firefox as it is, but I still don't like Chrome enough to switch.

Yeah, I'm ready to abandon Chrome, because Google is starting to irritate me. We need a new Year One Google-type company and shake things up!

Now, with all that crap said above, Racer-X I'm going to try out Waterfox, cause I am thirsty... for a new Browser! :D

Bubble for ya too, although I don't think you will be needing it. Let's try to push it to 11.
