Well of course it is and when Windows 9 comes out it will come at the expense of Windows 7 as a lot of people keep a pc for around 5 to 7 years depending on what they need them for.
Also a lot of users are looking to buy tablets instead of having big pc's take up room and imo there is not better tablet on the market than windows 8 as this is the only OS than can replace a desktop pc.
Im glad Windows 8 is selling well I have a surface RT and imo its the best tablet on the market for any home user and the Pro is the best for power users.
