Watch For Microsoft To Acquire Nokia, Nvidia

InformationWeek: Microsoft's move into hardware may see it "eating hard rice," in the words of one peeved partner, but moving it is. After introducing Surface, rumors are that more products are coming. But if Microsoft is to truly adopt the Apple model, it will need to bulk up. Nokia has about 48 Billion in revenue when changed from the 38B euros to dollars, not even MS has that kinda free cash, Nvidia however would only cost em about 4 Billion.

"Microsoft needs a chip design asset to compete with Apple, which designs the ARM-based A-Series processors for its iPhones and iPads."

Umm no, a British company called ARM designs it's own processors for many 3rd parties including the iphone, Apple doesn't own them.

I don't see ms buying amy of then. Nokia will recover its self over the next 5 years as they are now making devices that people want plus that are easy to use and with ms having its own eco system people willl also look at Nokia phones because of this.

Microsoft will not become a apple type business where they only make the hardware as this is not what they are about. What they will do is a bit like what google are doing where they will have a surface tablet and phone like google have nexus to show the world how to make there own products stand out against android and IOS.

But for the phone side I see them making there 1st surface but then working with Nokia HTC and Samsung for the rest.

Do not know how much weight this articles has or holds ,but if these event do occur. I say more power to MS for doing what they need to do besides the concept would keep the EU at bay like Apple has kept them at bay & not providing them any cash or having to put up w/ the EU BS.
