Samsung Pays Apple $1 Billion Sending 30 Trucks Full of 5 Cents Coins

PaperBlog - This morning more than 30 trucks filled up with coins of 5 cents arrived at Apple’s headquarters in California. Initially, the security company that protects the facility said it was diverted to the wrong place, but minutes later, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) received a call from Samsung CEO explaining that they will pay $1 billion dollars for the fine recently ruled against the South Korean company in this way.

Actually there is a supreme court case out of Connecticut where a man paid 10k or something like that in pennies. It went to the supreme court and the ruling said it was legal tender and the city had to accept it that way. So in the us it is legal. I paid a speeding ticket with quarters once, it was hilarious and I got the last laugh.

Even if it was real. Apple will have the last laugh because at the end of the day, they have Samsung's 1billion$. and @frelyler the police department had the last laugh in your case. You had to fork over your money so they don't care how they get it.

I'd like to know exactly what it is that Samsung copied from Apple, as you only have to change a product by something like 10 or 15% to call it your own, & I'm sure Samsung know this & have applied all the legally neccessary changes. To me, it seems like U.S. companies getting there nose out of joint that they are getting more competition than they bargained for, so they take this crap to court & use all there legal workarounds to legally rob money back from there Asian rivals.....Immersion done the same thing to Sony with the DS rumble tech at the end of PS2's life, when Sony had sold masses of consoles for 2 gens straight & the U.S. attack on the Japanese giant began.

first and last product i bought was ipod nano chrome behind 1GB back in 2005 i think. Sound was shit and way too expensive than a Sony Walkman mp3 that sounds much much better.

iphone is another story. most phones are cheaper and capable of much more. let blind fanboys cherish their beloved brand that has one obsession and it's to screw them very deep.

I hjave Xperia P. Great phone great design 3D pictures camera bravia screen Walkman feature amazing screen.

i've other things to do in my life than go wait a whole night for something completly useless.

I can assure you i dont have any apple product and trust me i'm very happy without and i'm laughing at those slaves (like you maybe) who probably have an apple logo tatooded on the forehead.

and i'll add to your knowledge (as limited as it could be) that i never played a COD in my life and i'm not planning to do it anytime soon :)

if you dont trust me and you have a PS3 go check my trophies :)

I'm not the type of person who just follows the crowd, i actually enjoy walking against it tbh.
