Analyst: Windows 8 won't be a "breakout sensation"

News10: Microsoft's Windows 7 operating system is only about three years old and already the computer software giant is getting ready to release its successor.

The new OS, Windows 8, has been shown extensively by Microsoft and its tile-based "Metro" interface can already be seen on devices like the Xbox 360 video game console and modern Windows-branded cellular phones. And even though it has yet to make its official PC debut, analyst Scott Steinberg of Techsavvy Global has his two cents to share about it.

The story is too old to be commented.

I'm leaning towards a Windows 8 phone for my next one. I'd pick up a Nokia 900 today (25 cents at Costco w/2 year contract) but I want better hardware.
