Best security is to have nothing of valuable...!

The best security is to not exist at all, because even before we are born we are worth something...

Saw that twitter reset his account and before he got the chance to re-sign up, someone else swooped up the name. How funny is that?

gizmig4090d ago

$50,000 twitter username. I don't know how much mine is worth. Anyone interested in buying mine. LMAO!

hkgamer4090d ago

its a shame that guy actually had his godaddy and other webistes held hostage.its stealing and companies should have done something to resolve thst matter.

im not surprised some companies giving away personal information. a clueless staff will always give information away.

i've managed to get information from banks before without giving proper personal info. well it was for my account and my brothers, but getting full name, dob and address wrong and still able to get some information is downright scary.

I guess he regrets not taking that $50,000 offer now XD

RetrospectRealm4090d ago

Interesting story. I'm wondering why you didn't take the $50k in the first place?

hesido4090d ago

That's an awful story. GoDaddy's handling of this matter is inexcusable.

Goldenarmz4090d ago

Couldn't you leave a note on the account to verify the last 4 digits of the credit card number as well as the last 4 of your SSN?

Soldierone4090d ago

I have a question. It states the Twitter username wasn't active, so obviously it didn't mean much to you, so why not just take the 50k and walk?

Also this stuff is actually against the law. Unless the thief plans to utilize Twitter with a proxy the rest of his life, why not report him? If he sells the account, then they just track where the money went.....

Personally yeah GoDaddy and Paypal both suck in many ways. One time someone hacked my Paypal account, spent all my money in it, then took off. I reported it to Paypal, and they charged me a fee for fixing it.....

People are only just figuring out that Paypal is not secure whatsoever. What a joke.

Speed-Racer4090d ago

PayPal is a joke because they aren't a bank and can freeze your account leaving you with very little recourse. Problem is there aren't many competitors so people tend to want to stick with them because of how widely accepted they are.

krazykombatant4090d ago

true enough, some people prefer to see a paypal account rather than just putting your card details straight on through.

However the fact circumstances this guy got himself into and how this "hacker" managed to change his paypal is pretty funny. However, I don't see why not just change the domain at godaddy or ask that guy who asked for $50,000 if he really wanted it.
