I've tried it and it was OK. Google still gives better results which isn't surprising... but it is better than bing.
I switched a while back and I love it. Yes it lacks the extras of Google, like maps but for basic search it works well.
DuckDuckGo is my second fav search engine. But it's never replacing Google.
