I loved man of steel and liked BvS too many people herewant to bitch. Plain and simple

You do realize that DC was successful in cinema for decades before Marvel even put a single movie in theaters right?

What you seem to be overlooking is the fact that Snyder can't manage characters & can't tell a story. You can use the comics as a blueprint to translate whatever visual you want, but if you miss the entire point of the book itself, you have failed. Snyder is all style, no substance. Beyond that his set pieces in BvS weren't that great, they were all overwhelmingly dark & you couldn't make out what was actually happening in most of them. Nolan was able to make a dark pallet easily readable, Snyder was not. Snyder is doing a poor man's version of Nolan crossed with meathead mentality (that weightlifting scene in the batcave only needed a butt rock metal song to complete it's full 80s training scene montage feel with none of the humor those movies pulled off)

Yup. You absolutely nailed it. The dude is decent at translating story boards that already exist, but he can't direct actors to save his life & he couldn't tell a proper story if you held a gun to his head. Ironically Guardians director James Gunn wrote the Dawn adaptation that would be Snyder's first foray into film, and that one was hands down my favorite film of his.

I was absolutely shocked that they let Snyder push on with Justice League after they watched what he did to BvS. If Warner's are keen on just burning money & the dreams of the DC fanbase, they should just let me have a crack at it. Not sure I could do anyone can do a worse hatchet job than Snyder is capable of. What bums me out the most is Snyder greedily ruined not 1, not 2, but 3 seminal comic storylines for at least the next couple decades in film. He ruined Dark Knight Returns, he ruined DoS, & he ruined the introduction of the Justice League. If he had focused on any 3 of these stories, maybe he could've pulled something out...instead he opted to destroy all of this great material so no future talented filmmakers could have a proper shot at it. Snyder is a hack. Really would have loved to see the DC cinematic U do something amazing & really give Marvel a run for its money...instead it'll flounder for the next few flicks until it gets rebooted all over again, sans all of the best stories than Snyder ruined.
