I think universal connectivity is the way to go and the current headphone jack is perfect for that. To be honest I use it all the time on my P10, I only really use my wireless headphones around the house for fear of water damage.

I do get that it's difficult, I used to find it really hard myself.
You just need to drop any expectations or end-game from the conversation before you speak to someone, whether it's a pretty guy/girl at a bar or someone important at a conference or whatever.
It takes a bit of time, but eventually you start doing it naturally.

I think it's worth it, even if you put the political climate aside it helps to give you a bit of protection from loosing your data on public wifi and the like
To be fair, this is something that has to happen, the amount of plastic wasted is atrocious, especially when you consider how essential it is for say, our pharmaceutical industry.
I think part of it might be that it is just a good way to narrow down the search criteria, if we only look for what we KNOW can produce life, then we can direct our resources in less places with more chance (in theory) of finding something.

Hackers could pose a threat, It depends on what aspects of the system are linked to a network, it should be possible to ensure the vast majority of the program is self-containing which would be a huge help
