Indeed, while I can understand why he did it... he'd be locked up for the rest of his life... it doesn't make it any less pathetic from a supporter of (most) Anonymous' operations.
The list of SOPA/PIPA supporters is endless, not to mention all the "proxy" supporters. Besides, in the tweets they referenced Megaupload which, naturally, makes no sense.
There's a couple I keep track of, main two are https://twitter.com/YourAno... and https://twitter.com/Anonymo... :)
Regarding piracy being bad for the music/film industry, it's actually been looked at pretty extensively by The Wall Street Journal (I can't find the link) and piracy doesn't harm them that much, simply because lots of people tend to buy it afterwards anyway.
It's people who pirate games do so to get a feel for the game, if they like it they buy it.
Actually, many say it's already back on just an IP address for now... but, frankly, there's been no reliable source yet. I imagine it won't stay up for long; they're going to get screwed in court from what I've seen of the evidence.
It's a shame Twitter have now decided not to take a stance :/ Hopefully Facebook and others put something prominent on their pages, such as some form of 'gray out'.
When did Sony release a browser?! (Exc. the PS3's one)
I agree, the next big milestone must be the 1 billion mark... which I can see happening sooner rather than later.
Just updated this, it now does it automatically rather than requiring a button. Much easier!
Blocked / kept donations made to WikiLeaks, which anonymous supports.
Another note: If you look at eBay's stock for today... it's down 3%, around $1bn lost apparently (I can't say I understand the stock market, so no idea how accurate that figure is).
As a note, #OpPaypal is currently trending worldwide. Might be worth tagging that onto your post if you haven't already, it's pretty impressive.
Use a decent Anti-virus ;) It's a false positive.
It it legitimate, I wouldn't post something that I hadn't checked for viruses. At least, my anti-virus didn't pick anything up, and the JS-only version works just fine if you don't like the look of the .exe :)
Adding updates as they are available. Would post to the story but it seems it can't be done until a story has been posted.
Yeh it's worrying, the worst ones are the emails/passwords... You never know what site could be hit and while I use a variety of passwords.. I don't want any leaked. Means I'd have to change everything.
I've checked most of the releases that are done publically, nothing yet *crosses fingers*.
Ridiculous. Therr are similar measures being proposed in the UK and it's just a bad idea. For a start it would be circumvented eventually, plus it will be used to censor websites the government do not like.
And there will always be spare domains and IP adresses so websites will just skip around. I really don't want the internet, a free place, to be censored. Just look at what China is doing, we do not want to end up like that.
While I agree that the elephants are probably damaging crops and the villagers need the food/resources the editing was AWFUL.
There was no need to include that music in there. That was the problem for most I think. Plus, it didn't need to be as graphic.
I have the odd domain with them that was pushed, all transferred when they are up though.
I wasn't sure whether to embed the video or not... It is pretty graphic so I thought it best to leave it out. Let me know if you want it in though.
I thought that too, however the evidence is overwhelming. For a start Sabu himself connected to IRC earlier and just said "sorry guys" and left. Safe to say, on this occasion, Fox are right.
