Considering how quickly fire can take this is actually a really good idea. Immerse someone in the reality of how quick and deadly a fire can be and instruct them how to get out. Good for training of firefighters too if they tweak it. I wonder how long before firefighters are using a form of AR in their masks?

I really didn't expect Lowe's of all people to be so on board with AR/VR tech. Makes you wonder what they're going to get up to next, and who else will follow. We've already got Amazon doing things with an AR furniture store.

Electric cars, outer space, hyperloops and now conjuring up a brain-computer interface? I think we're getting at the point that Musk should pick a couple of things to work on and just stick to them.

Won't happen. Their work might help establish a new standard, but there'll always be innovation and new ideas.

Such a shame the main players don't care enough to do something to start winding this back.

You unsurprisingly lost me at injections in the eyes. Actually that's something of a lie since there's no way on in hell I'd sign up for that.

I hope we get a full orchestral rendition of the ringtone for it, if that is the case.

The rewrite took a while and more than a couple of long discussions between the two of us. At the end of the day we want things more flexible and more sites to post their content - and yes, YouTube submissions were high on our list to put 'right'.

Speaking of 'isn't going anywhere' VR isn't just gaming. Research is being done on VR and also AR in many frields and it is already being used in areas such as architecture and design, retail, education, film, health and more.

It's being used in freaking space.

Motion sickness, so good you named it twice, is partly down to the person and partly down to how an experience is coded. There are all sorts of ways to combat it, many very eff...

@TechImperia - I can see several names you've mentioned being in the seven should they enter. Depends what people write I guess! This one isn't about submission or management prowess. As Speed-Racer says we'd best all get to writing. A nice change of pace! :)
