Looks like they're not willing to give Verizon not even an inch more of the market.

Lol, they really hurt themselves with that scandal.

It's nice that they are trying because I feel "News feed" killed Facebook in a way. Nowadays, people rather consume than create content on Facebook and it lost its community aspects.

I believe there's life beyond Earth, beyond our solar system. Quite often I wonder how would a civilisation far more advanced than human look. We have books, movies and similar, but that's all just our projections. Can it be alien if it's a product of our minds? I expect real aliens to look nothing like we imagined.

High bandwith interface to the brain? By the sound of it, there would be some serious surgery involved.

I'm really liking the design and color schemes, but I'll miss the "home" button.

Pffft, I have that much in my PC. Granted, it's already over 4 years old.

This has Elon Musk written all over it haha.

The slightly curved screen of Samsung S7 Edge is one of the more interesting design choices I've seen in the last few years. I hope it's making a comeback this iteration as well.

It certainly has the potential to be a gamechanger, but it's still far away from realization. Just like VR (and 3D before), I think there'll be a decent amount of people who won't be able to experience it without side-effects.

I gotta agree, but even with money out of the picture I still believe there would be fake news, because it's propaganda used to push idealogies and beliefs. Propaganda costs, it doesn't directly make money and isn't meant to make profits in itself. It creates a milieu which can then be used to one's benefit.

Fake news and the spreading of falsehoods can't be stopped without super strict moderation, which is unfeasible on social media with so many users. The only way would be to block domains, but the problem is even reputable sources dabble in fake news due to poor research.
We should focus more on educating people about critical thinking and researching to determine what holds and what doesn't. This applies to journalists too, they've gotten very lazy as well.

Lol, the news piece is really no holds barred right from the get go.

The pricing is absolutely insane, in a good way. I'd even dare to say they are slashing the margins too low, sometimes people feel safer paying more. This will surely entice more gamers to consider AMD CPU for their configs, usually Intel is the ultimate go-to.

I really don't find it too surprising, they have serious problems with making profits due to such poor management, even when they have the President using their platform as means to bypass media. Their stocks are pretty volatile, and the only sure thing is they go a bit up when rumors about someone taking over Twitter start circulating (like a few months ago), that should speak volumes of buyer's trust in Twitter management.

@XisThatKid

Thanks for the links, didn't know of these. Gionee looks interesting but really impractical, Kyocera is truly retro. I'd still rather go for other options, flip-open only if I had some money to throw around.

Why would you? Aside from nostalgia, I see no good reason to. One could argue the screen was better protected because of its mechanism, but today we have screen protectors anyway. Flip-open phones were unnecessarily robust and easy to break, and you probably can't fit them with a 4+ inch screen which is the bare minimum these days.

It sounds gimmicky, but it shouldn't a problem if it doesn't shoot up the price through the roof.

2632d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

With these it's possible to record up to 1000 fps in slow-motion in FullHD. Now, that's a gimmick I can get behind.

From Note 7 to this, Samsung really can't catch a break. Even though they'll try to invest more to make their batteries safer, the consumer trust (and stocks) will take a dip.
