You're right.
But once you're invested into an ecosystem like the App Store, it doesn't make much sense to change to Android, WP8 or Misc..I mean Blackberry.. and lose all the apps/functionality you've already paid for.
They're all pretty much the same, so once you choose one, it makes more practical sense to stick with it and there's little motivation to switch.
I think AMD needs to step up their visibility. Your average consumer doesn't even know who they are, let alone how they stack up in terms of value.
I'm always flag-waving AMD's bang-for-buck, but far too many people consider them a dollar store alternative to Intel's leading brand image.
It does seem ridiculous to me that this requires some kind of work-around.
But.. It's Microsoft. Throw crap on the wall and walk away...
Bingo! I love Windows 7. It really is damn close to a perfect desktop OS. I've always hated the idea of Win8 and simply couldn't recommend any new laptop to a friend as a gift idea over the holidays because of it. An actual example of PC makers suffering due to the OS, not the other way around. You can't expect them all to start building high-end tablets just to justify some dumb software.
That said, as a person who has their PC hooked up to their TV as their main...

Personally, no. I've had a mere 1 GB plan for over 3 years now and I don't think I've ever managed to use so much as 500 MB in a given month. Wifi is everywhere. It's surprisingly difficult to even make use of mobile internet.
That said, I certainly wouldn't want to go without it.

The internet is rarely as cut-and-dry as lawyers would like. We're all subject to the laws of our own country and governments. We have no idea who perpetrated the act or where they're from. If they're in Thailand or something, they're probably high and dry.

The problem with philanthropy and charitable organizations is that's what they do with it. They take the money and they sit on it to collect interest. They use the interest to engage in whatever good they may actually achieve.

Philanthropy is a scam. As long as he pays all of his taxes, that's all I care about.
They don't gain anything from the hacks. They gain notoriety from publicizing them.
