I've used the Windows 8 Developer Build, honestly it's probably a great OS for tablet devices, but it's just really bad for the desktop platform, it's just not optimal. I'm probably a bit stubborn though, stuck in my ways, but there seriously is extra legwork with that new UI to do basic functions compared to Windows 7. With that said, I'm not a fan of Xbox 360 games being compatible on the PC platform, we get shoddy console ports as it is, if the developers don't ...
But the hack has already happened, so yeah I removed it but its probably too late.
My phone number, name, CC, address might all be compromised :S
Doubt it. I just tried to use Gaikai and it said my internet isn't fast enough.
Crysis 2's texture resolution is about half that of Crysis 1. DX11 w/ tessellation is terribly unoptimised as well in C2.
I wonder if we've reached a point where nothing will really "wow!" us anymore, I mean, what we have now will get faster, smaller or bigger if it's a TV :P, but ... I just don't know if some invention is gonna pop out of no where, wow us all like people were back then, and change everyone's lives.
Yeah in previous versions like back with FF4, it used to go near 2GB and then crash. I think it behaves a lot better than it used to.
rofl. How bad was it? Share your experience with us! :P
Wow terribly old and its now released anyway, under a different name.
I'll give you iPod>Zune, but that's it. Everything else you said is incorrect. Apple deserve to go up in flames.
Hope a lawsuit happens and Microsoft smashes Apple into the ground.
Yep. Google+ is already dead.
For a tablet computer, I could see it working but...
It's like, the metro UI is tacked onto the side of your legacy UI. Let's say you want to open control panel. You first have to start typing which automatically brings up metro search, then you click control panel, which then loads metro control panel, then you have to scroll down, click more settings, which then minimises metro UI, loads up legacy UI and then shows us the control panel we're used to.

Your normal businesses that use desktop computers and stuff will not use Windows 8. Trust me, I tried the (legal) dev build, it has NO place on a desktop computer. I'll be sticking to Win7.
>implying that Apple would dare to innovate.
Haha hell no man. Way overpriced.
I wouldn't even want to imagine a world without Google.
You can already download Firefox 8. It's in alpha, I guess, it's codenamed Aurora.
Infact, if you've got one of those SVN downloader things, you can already download FF9 from a repository.
Uhh...I thought the UK was a democracy and not in the middle-east?
Hmm.
They're already so cheap so this is good.
