Wow. While no one is claiming it's all sunshine and rainbows for Sony, your post is quite misleading. Sony's stock is not valued as "junk". There's no such thing as a "junk" stock rating. You're thinking about their bond ratings, and a "junk" rating simply means it's below a safe investment grade and usually carries a higher yield and thusly more risk than other bonds. There are plenty of Japanese electronics makers that have had their cr...

What's funny is N4G won't have this article. Despite the obviously huge ramifications for the gaming industry, N4G mods seemed determined to stifle debate on this topic over and over and over again. There's been many articles and opinion pieces submitted to N4G related to an Xbox spinoff and the mods squash every one.

I have no idea why this news isn't making the rounds on the N4G site as it clearly could have a huge impact on the home video game console landscape. This has everything to do about games. If Sony came out tomorrow and said games and the PS4 weren't deemed essential to the company strategy as a whole, damn straight this would be considered game news. Gamers should be talking about this given the obviously huge ramifications if Microsoft did decide to jettison the Xbox brand.

One of the main features of Vita TV is streaming PS4 games to a second TV. You're able to remote play PS4 games on your regular Vita but those don't have a TV out in case you wanted to hook them up to a larger screen. And yes, you would need a Vita TV for each TV, just like you currently need a cable box for each TV to use cable.

As for Vita games on the big screen I can't see it as being too much of an issue. Resolution of most Vita games are slightly less tha...

Didn't these things sell out first day they were available for pre-order in Japan? That certainly doesn't sound like the internet blowing things out of proportion. Of course you're correct in saying we should wait and see how it does once launched, but to me it seems obvious from what we're seeing from Japan that there's strong consumer interest in this product. And why wouldn't there be? The things are a fantastic idea whether you want it for the games, the media ...

I certainly do. Great for media streaming, plays my Vita games on the big screen but for me it's most worthwhile as a PS4 extender so I can use my PS4 either downstairs on the home theater or upstairs in the living room. For $100 that's a fantastic deal and I can't wait to get my hands on one.

In Japan, Sony's stock took a dip of about 1.7% on the day of the reveal, at a time when the entire Japanese market was pulling back dramatically. Sony's stock price that day looks like nothing else than normal market fluctuations and since then the stock has been on a steady climb. It's hard to believe anyone could have made a big deal about not even a 2% dip on a day the markets got clobbered.

The jump during the MS reveal was something else entirely. Look at...

I'm a bit confused. What were people expecting? It is, after all, just a smartphone, right? At this stage, what more can they do with them? Make the screen a bit sharper and provide better battery life. Expecting huge changes now is like saying "How can we make the wheel more round?" Smartphones today do what they're supposed to do incredibly well. Honestly, what more can we expect of them until we're able to make them run on electricity our own bodies throw off a...

No doubt he's probably taking whatever you share and selling it to the Chinese gov. Or he's just using the site in another money laundering scheme. Or he just masturbates to your photos. Who knows what he's up to, but it can't be good given his track record. Why on earth anyone would willingly entrust their files to this criminal is beyond me. You couldn't pay me to copy my files over to his site.

The guy's a career criminal, stealing access codes and phone cards and selling the information as a kid to embezzlement and insider trading that helped him steal millions even prior to this whole mess, spending years on the run from authorities after. I still don't get why people defend this guy. If a guy is convicted of multiple accounts of rape his entire adult life, who in their right mind would let them go out with their daughter on the off chance that he's suddenly changed?...

This would be interesting, if it were true. There was a tonne of 3d gadgets and what not at CES this year, from 3D 4k televisions to 3D cameras and camcorders to announcements regarding a tonne of movies receiving 3D makeovers. Just google "CES" and "3D" and you'll find article after article written about the 3D offerings from this year's CES. 3D isn't going anywhere except millions of living rooms and movie theatres.

The focus might not of ...

Don't forget, it's not only about the copyright. There was a fairly significant money laundering operation using Megaupload as a front from what they've alleged.

Personally, I think he should have done time for that 1.5 million euros he defrauded investors of with stock fraud and insider trading. If a guy robbed a bank and stole 10,000 bucks, you could be assured he'd serve some time behind bars. A white guy commits fraud and steals a million and a half eur...

That might be, but what about the racketeering and money laundering? Shouldn't we let the courts decide that? He can add it to the list of other things he's already been convicted of like hacking, dealing with stolen property, insider trading and embezzlement. People act like this guy is some hero because he dared to challenge copyright rules and they ignore his long, criminal past.

"The government freezed everything and is blocking him from doing anything."
As well they should. You don't get to pay for your defence with the alleged proceeds of crime.

"Who told you he did all these things? The government." Umm..no, the courts. He's been charged, tried and convicted over and over again. He started off young and was tried and convicted for hacking and for handling stolen goods and did time. 4 years later he was conv...

That's my point. He's been guilty over and over and over again. He's a career criminal. He might not have been found guilty of this particular crime yet, but that doesn't change the fact that this guy is a hacker, embezzler, a thief, etc.

And again, if you're accused of robbing a bank you don't get to pay for your defence with the alleged proceeds. I still can't get over how people defend this guy. "But all corporations are a little dir...

You've been against this convicted, career criminal from the start? I can't stand this "hug a thug" mentality. Look at his past, the fraud, the hacking, the insider trading, etc...etc even before this case. What about the people who were bilked out of millions by this guy? You think that money just fell out the sky, that these were all victimless crimes? So this fraudster who has already been convicted of stealing millions from investors is a hero, but I bet you think t...

My commie tone? Sorry I have issue with him spending the proceeds of his crimes. If that makes me a commie, then I'm a goddamned commie. You're damn right I have an issue with people spending the proceeds of crime.

You want to go around and worship a convicted criminal who bilks honest people out of millions, you go right ahead but don't try to convince me he's somehow changed his stripes and he's some sort of internet freedom fighter now. He's not...

It's one of my favourite money laundering sites!

Seriously, people need to stop acting like this guy is some sort of hero. He's a criminal. This dirtbag fraudulently manipulated stock prices and made millions. Then he embezzled millions more and drove two companies bankrupt for which he's been tried on convicted.

Now he's being accused of not just the copyright infringement that everyone focuses on, but on the charges that he used Megauploa...
