When you say news score, is it News Score only or News + Bonus score?

also suppose if a person wins 100$ for finishing in 1st place would he also be eligible for General Score lottery?

Syko3582d ago

It is News + Bonus for score.

And this month we are keeping the general score open to all as anyone with a 600 score will have equal chance to win, if it ends up being skewed towards only those who also won a News submission prize we might go to 1 prize per user each month. We do like rewarding the hardest working members though and sometimes winning in multiple categories is just part of being highly active on the site.

Although we have been trying to keep contests from having a user win 3-4 prizes as was happening with some of the lottery contests just by luck of the draw.

The min 2000 (1350?) managing score a new thing? If so props to whoever came up with the idea. That should really help with the sites stagnation, or at least I hope.

2000 is really achievable. My average is normally over 10,000 per month. Hopefully it will encourage others to give a helping hand :)

I get the rewarding the hardest working members mantra - but Personally i think the hardest working members should only be eligible for one prize a month. There are many hard workers here that could sometimes lose out to someone who manages to grab everything. Just my opinion - I know it means little considering I'm relatively new here.

LOL.. Let me create the wealth first, I am so poor xD.

Also There shouldn't be any limit... we should all work hard so Techspy can earn more and give more.. I would like to see techspy top N4G someday and give 500 bucks a comment LOL!!:P (since N4G had 400$ Comment contest previous month)

Changed to 2000 minimum score as that has been the 1 year average of 3rd place managing scores over the past year. It was originally 1350 as I made a mistake and posted the 5th place average and meant to do the 3rd place. Sorry for the slow edit. Didn't realize till after I had it posted for a bit.
