From PSU: "You’ve got to wonder – who among us actually wanted only the single-player campaign from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to be remastered and then subsequently released for a chunk of change? It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense from a consumer point of view really, not least because arguably the lightning rod of Modern Warfare 2’s appeal has always been its stellar, and some might say timeless, suite of online multiplayer modes."
Joseph, Josh, and Chris discuss the crazy cancellation of The Last of Us 2 and what 2020 holds for our controllers, and they give their impressions on Resident Evil 3 and Modern Warfare 2 Remastered!
Why are people using words like cancellation now? And acting like it won't be released this year? It was bad enough with 'delayed indefinitely'. Stop the pointless, childish drama.
It hasn't been delayed 'indefinitely', it'll 'definitely' be released once people can go out to the shops to buy it in order to maximise profits and that's gonna be sometime this year. So gaming in 2020 doesn't look any different than it did before, ffs.
They literally said they want everyone to be able to play it at the same time.
I'm looking forward to it, but there have been more than enough games to keep me busy, so I can be patient. I'm sure it will be worth the wait when it finally does release, but for now I'll get by.
Life moving on. In light of Naughty Dogs ego blowin sky high and thinking they can do whatever they want and getting caught up in the political B.S., I mean seriously, everyone always told me Southern California was so conservative it isn't funny, and it was Central and Northern California, mostly, that were the liberal ones, but Naughty Dog are as liberal as they come when it's the competition thatre supposed to be the extremely liberal ones, but it's the competition thatve now caught my attention and have stayed out of all that political b.s. I speak, of course, the new Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch Studios.
What just happened here was Naughty Dog just got out of the way to clear room for the new kid in town, the new boss of the block, of InFamous fame, Seattle based Sucker Punch Studios that once said they'd like to be Naughty Dog, but with Nate Fox at the helm set to challenge both Evan Wells (whose husband is missing him terribly as he works on The Last of Us Part II) and Neil Druckman (who is probably getting ready to leave his wife and kids for his new husband) Ghost of Tsushima takes care of everyone and everything. Sucker Punch Studios are busting their but to make things happen, regardless. Sony haven't shut them down or delayed anything, and Naughty Dog themselves have said they're just working through bugs. Hm... Sucker Punch are going strong and are set to deliver. Honestly, we don't need Naughty Dog or The Last of Us Part II, Sucker Punch are on schedule and making good on their promise, without the need of gay samurai, despite this ordeal, to deliver Ghost of Tsushima on time, as promised, and to the level of quality PlayStation delivers. This is too easy, next question, please.
It's an absolute given that every year there's a new Call of Duty title, like literally I can't ever see Activision having a year off and giving the franchise a break. However, after PlayStation 4 temporarily placed a PEGI rating on their network for a Modern Warfare 2 Campaign before very swiftly removing it again, it seems all but confirmed that there are indeed plans to bring a remastered Modern Warfare 2 to this generation of consoles.
oh. enough with the remasters, do something new.
i know it gives a chance for fans to play their likelihood games at best experience but also it is giving companies a free walk over without doing anything.
The Europe Game Ratings Board, PEGI, has just posted a rating for ‘Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 2 Campaign Remastered’ for PlayStation 4 on their official site, with the game rated PEGI 18.
I got high hopes for this years CoD after not getting any SP 2018 I can't wait for this years SP campaign!
We'll see next week though if they went with another "Future Warfare" setting with generic factions because if so I'm done with CoD, I want some real world inspired wars now like in the old CoD games.
Of course the refuse to remake MW2 MP. It would kill their other games.
Remastered compilations of the SP campaigns of the MW and BLOPs series would be great - and likely sell really well.
If they find some way to add loot boxes to this, I'm actually going to lose all hope for this industry.
It would have split the player base between COD MW and this
This whole thing is just weird and so random, it just feels rushed and like a quick cash grab or something.
At first i was kind of baffled too at this decision. It would DEFINITELY split the playerbase. Plus its only 20 bucks and I wouldnt mind playing through the MW2 campaign again. With activistion, i expected it to be atleast 29.99. But 19.99 isnt bad at all.
Thats because they're saving those maps for 2022's MW2.
