I am utterly compelled by all this talk of discomforting gameplay. If it's true, it sounds like a game-changer (pun unintended). IGN released a video a few days ago on YouTube where their E3 correspondents are visibly offended and disgusted after seeing MW gameplay.

Haven't seen this kind of reaction to a game since the Manhunt controversy. If it's as horrific as they say I fear it might get censored or even calls to be banned.

If a game makes gaming "journalists" uncomfortable than it's a game I need to get day 1.

It is very strange however, that we were not shown any gameplay yet. The game is do out in a few months and all we got was a trailer.

Have you seen Saving Private Ryan? What happened to the world I live in? We would get stuff like Total Recall and Robocop when I was growing up and I never heard people complaining about gore and violence. Now, it’s like people complained about violence in The Last of Us 2 and this game is “uncomfortably realistic”. Maybe you should just play Mario games and find someone not squeamish to preview COD?

To be honest though... these are millennial journalists.
They need a safe space if their Starbucks baristas calls their name out too loud.

If it's going for realism, I hope to see: gun recoil, gun sway, bullet spread, gun weight, character weight. No more quick scoping, no more spamming the shotty like its an smg, no more smg (with basic iron sights) out gunning assaults rifles from far distances.

Maybe i'm paranoid, but i feel like this whole "realistic", "uncomfortable", "disgusting" is just a marketing spin and a way to release more news about the game.

I mean, even look at the comment section, people are excited for another COD. And COD already had shooting unarmed civilians, player character getting shot in the head in first person, dying in nuclear explosion, dying from radiation, being burned alive, stabbed to death, killing hundreds of people (different ways) and so on. But now suddenly, it's "problematic".

Game “journalist” are wimps. Unless they are killing children or raping women in a brutal way what’s their to be uncomfortable about? It’s war. What are they supposed to do throw socks at each other?

Ooohoo wooow, it's "uncomfortable" and "messy" and "troubling" and "emotional" and "controversial"...

Infinity Lard and Activi$ion take my money these buzzwords are hyping me up I can't wait any longer.

Aaaaaand it'll play like the same game everyone's been playing for nearly two decades. Benny hill running animations, grenades that have the weight of a paper clip, and physics...who cares?

What does it hurt their ensitive souls to know their tax dollars are murdering thousands of innocents overseas, to keep Murica safe and as long as no one puts it in front of their eyes they can pretend its not happening?

I like the sound of this but will the Call of Duty faithful like the change? That's the question. If this game is good, then I hope the vocal minority (you know they will be here) don't dictate what the rest want. That's usually how it goes now days....

expect to see gameplay by next month or at the latest august with cod champs being in august and the open qualifier being next month . So it should be one of those events

Based on the comments here where a few weeks ago COD was the worst thing in gaming besides Fortnite, I see that Activision's marketing scheme to (1) avoid demoing gameplay while (2) turning gamers against journalists by (3) fostering an environment to discredit any type of valid complaint against them is working better than they could have ever expected.

I HOOOOOOPE THE SINGLE PLAYER IS MORE THAN 10 TO 15 HOURS LONG ,NOT THAT BULLSHIT OF 4 FUCKING HOURS

I hope they don't censor it because a bunch of whining a-holes that get all these games for free. If it is as intense as people are saying then this will be the 1st CoD will have bought in my life.
