It's a sad day for the industry.

A true visionary, a genius, a dreamer. Rest in peace, Steve :(

RIP, totally wasn't expecting that he was THIS ill, he seemed fine a few weeks ago.

So sorry for the family. Thanks for the future, Steve.

While many may have had their differences and likings to the Apply product, there is no denying that this man was indeed a game changer. He took a simple product and made it into gold.

RIP.

Really wasn't expecting this today. This year ya, but it shocked me when I saw it today.

RIP...

Cat4576d ago

Agree, I was hoping when he left Apple he'd have more time with his family. Never enough time, I guess.

SactoGamer4576d ago

I think we knew it was coming but I figured he'd have many more years left.

Wow, this came all a sudden, but sadly it likely would have occurred soon given how poor his health was. He certainly made a mark on tech industry. But not just that. He made a mark on the film industry as well by starting Pixar.

Plasmana4575d ago

He didn't actually start Pixar. He acquired it from Lucasfilm. Though he was certainly at the helm as they transitioned from a technology company to a content company.
