Skype has just launched their own App Directory, similar to Apple’s App Store. It has previously been possible to download third party applications for Skype, but they are now gathered in a central location.
Currently, the number of applications reasonably limited, as there are only 23 programs available in the store. They are divided into different categories like Business and Mobile video communication.

New update lets you have a video call without having a Skype account. You can start a chat through a link and can use it at any time as it does not expire.
With the sudden upswing of video conferencing needs due to working from home, Microsoft has decided to add a new feature to Skype.
Will totally fail. If they start charging for basic functions, Skype will be replaced by another messenging app as people will leave it.
wasnt skype bought out by microsoft? dont micrsoft have an app store of their own? isnt this just duplicating something they already have? hmmmmm sometimes i wonder
