iRobot Receives $21 Million from U.S. Navy to Dispose of IEDs

Gadgehit writes: "iRobot Corporation, a leader in delivering robotic technology-based solutions, has received a $21 million order from the United States Navy for 100 bomb disposal robots. The Man Transportable Robotic System (MTRS) MK 1 MOD 1 robot has been proven to work in combat, and is able to remotely perform disposal of improvised explosive devices (IEDs)."
