KLM begins Biofuel Scheduled Service flight

KLM has become the first airline to run a scheduled commercial flight running on Biofuel. Flight KL1233 was the first to run the new fuel from Schiphol in Amsterdam, Netherlands; to Charles de Gaulle in Paris, France. The 737-8K2(-800) carried 171 passengers on a 50/50 blend of regular aviation fuel and plant/recycled kitchen derivatives, with no adjustments being made to the fuel systems and engines.
