NVIDIA is preparing several new launches and one of them is the mid-range card GeForce GTX 550 Ti. The card are slated to appear in mid-March sporting a new GF116 GPU that according to several European e-tailers boosts 192 CUDA cores and 128-bit memory bus.
Benchmark Reviews: The MSI N550GTX-Ti Cyclone II OC video card looks a whole lot like its predecessor but as we have seen with the previous 5xx video cards the revised GF11x GPU easily out performs its counterpart. Also working in the favor of the GTX550-Ti is the 192-bit wide memory interface giving MSI N550GTX-Ti Cyclone II OC video card 103.2GB/s memory bandwidth, which is closer to the GTX460 than the GTS450. Price wise the GTX550-Ti will fit in just nicely between the GTX460 and GTS450 and also the Radeon HD5570, so let's find out where it fits performance wise.
TechRadar.com: "It's not necessarily that the GeForce GTX 550 Ti AMP! is actually a bad card, in many respects it's a perfect entry level gaming card. Unfortunately it simply doesn't make any sense in this market at that price.
Drop the pricing closer to the £100 level and you have a card worthy of serious consideration. As it is though, you're better off grabbing a GeForce GTX 460 while you can."
NVIDIA released its new mid-range graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti, the new video card will feature 92 CUDA cores, a 1,800MHz clock speed and a 900MHz graphics clock, along with 1GB of GDDR5 memory, good for DirectX 11 support, OpenGL 4.1 and 3D Vision support.
