Nintendo have today begun the launch campaign for the Nintendo 3DS console in the UK. Although we may still be two months from launch – to the day, in fact – Nintendo is keen to highlight the differences between your existing Nintendo DS console and the Nintendo 3DS system, as can aptly be seen in this brand new, debut trailer for the console.

The Sharp Free-Form Display Technology has been announced and presented in June 2014 and the new LCD tech allows for the creation of unconventionally-shaped displays that can be used in various upcoming technology. According to recent rumors, Nintendo, who has been collaborating with Sharp on the 3DS, should be the first company to employ the Sharp Free-Form Display in its upcoming hardware products. Since Nintendo is planning a new sleep monitoring device and supposedly a new console, the Sharp Free-Form Technology LCD panels could bring a whole new touch to the upcoming products.
Engadget - Nintendo's original 3D handheld launched in 2011 and three years is a seriously long time in tech -- especially for Nintendo. Fortunately, it's been a hit -- over 44 million units sold so far -- following a tradition of handheld console leadership that started way back with the original Game Boy.
