Engadget: At present, there seem to be three strategies to embracing the potential of USB 3.0 -- go all out with an external SSD, introduce a hulking RAID-on-a-stick, or settle for a single-chip USB key with ho-hum maximum read/write speeds of roughly around 80MB / sec and 60MB / sec. There are a number of these barely-better-than-USB-2.0 flash drives floating about, but Patriot decided not to settle for that -- its new Supersonic flash drive uses the mythical "quad channel" technology (and a native USB 3.0 controller) to eke out some extra speed.
Maximum PC: Patriot's been busy fleshing out its lineup of varied memory and storage products with an eye on cutting edge technology. Following up on its announcement of a pair of PCIe-based SSDs (M.2 SATA and add-in card form factors) the other day, Patriot today added a new SSD enclosure and three new USB flash drive lines.

The Phison S10 has been used by many SSD manufacturers recently as it offers sequential read/write speeds of up to “560MB/s and 545MB/s” respectively. The Patriot Ignite is available in three capacities, 240GB, 480GB and 960GB. It is also available in both 2.5″ and M.2 SATA form factors. Today, we are going to look at and review the Ignite 240GB capacity, in 2.5″ SATA SSD form factor."
Maximum PC: Make no mistake, Patriot has power users in mind with its new product releases, several of which it brought to Computex. That includes new high capacity RAM options -- namely, 64GB and even 128GB kits of Viper 4 DDR4 RAM sporting 14-16-16-31 timings and running at 2400MHz. Such high capacities are going to be overkill for most users, though RAM isn't the only thing Patriot had on display.
