Single-core CPU usage is slightly down while dual-core hasn’t changed at all. Quad core has made a promising gain of 5%, although 6 core gaming clearly has a long way to come.
No real push on the GPU front but this may change over the next few months with newer cards from both ATI and Nvidia already released with more on the way.
And, for once, some of what it can do looks genuinely useful.
AMD has launched their Radeon RX 7900 GRE graphics card in the west. Can thew new cards be GREat though? Tony the Tiger in the house.
NVIDIA will have a Special Address at CES 2024 which is scheduled for Monday, 8 Jan. at 8 a.m. PT / 5 p.m. CET.
Hopefully I can get back to being in the quad core list :P I sold my Q6600 and now I'm using an Athlon 64 X2 (ancient SOB) but it still runs fine. Hoping to get a i5 760 or i7 950 this holiday or when Sandy Bridge/Bulldozer arrive. Prices on 1156 and 1366 platforms will definitely drop.
