MacWorld: The new 27-inch iMac marks a first for Apple’s popular all-in-one desktop computer—it can host a second drive. But if you think this means the company is releasing its grip on the iMac’s notoriously closed form factor, think again.
We can gladly announce that the iPad Air 2 and its Gold version, the iPad Mini 3, the 27 inch iMac Retina 5K and Mac Mini were all launched by Apple, alongside iOS 8.1 and OS X Yosemite, which you can get for free.
HotHardware: If you've been waiting to score a deal on an Apple iMac system, now is your chance, provided you're not opposed to buying a refurbished model. Apple just filled its store with a handful of refurbished iMac models that are marked down anywhere from 15 percent to 20 percent, which translates into savings of up to $400 off the normal selling price.
AnandTech: It used to be that if you needed a fast desktop that ran OS X you pretty much had to shell out for a Mac Pro. With this generation I firmly believe that the 27-inch iMac is a real alternative. And unlike iMacs of the past, this new one is actually married to a display that the high end folks might actually want.
